New Jersey's climate and seasonal conditions demand proper preparation. We diamond-grind every slab, address moisture issues, and apply coatings rated for local conditions so your floor won't peel or delaminate.

Residential Epoxy Flooring FAQ
How long does residential epoxy flooring last?
With professional preparation and quality materials, residential epoxy floors typically last 10 to 20+ years. Floors in high-traffic areas like garages and basements commonly exceed 15 years when a polyaspartic topcoat is applied.
Can you apply epoxy over existing concrete?
Yes. We inspect your existing slab, repair cracks or spalling, and diamond-grind the surface so the epoxy bonds properly. Old paint, sealers, or adhesive residue is removed during prep.
How much does residential epoxy flooring cost?
Pricing depends on square footage, coating type, and decorative options. A typical garage or basement (400 to 600 sq ft) runs $1,800 to $4,500. Patios, interiors, and larger areas vary. We provide free, no-obligation estimates for every project.
How long does installation take?
Most single-room projects (garage, basement, patio) are done in one day. Multi-room or larger areas may take two days. Foot traffic is fine after 24 hours. For garages, park vehicles after 72 hours.
Is epoxy flooring slippery when wet?
A smooth epoxy surface can be slippery when wet. We offer anti-slip additives and full-broadcast flake systems that provide excellent traction for garages, basements, pool decks, patios, and entryways.
What is the difference between epoxy and polyaspartic coatings?
Epoxy provides excellent adhesion and chemical resistance. Polyaspartic is a faster-curing topcoat with superior UV stability and abrasion resistance. We often combine both: epoxy as the base coat and polyaspartic as the topcoat for the best of both systems.
Does the area need to be cleared?
Yes, the floor must be completely clear for grinding and coating. For garages, move vehicles and stored items to the driveway. For basements, patios, or interiors, relocate furniture and belongings. We can discuss timing that works for you.
